Fatal Film
Fatal Film
Fatal Film is one of New London, CT's great rock and roll acts. They've been playing some of the best shows of their storied run over the last year or so churning out sonic and mischief and wowing audiences with the results. During that time, they've toiled in the studio with local producer Jason Banta to build the definitive statement of the Fatal Film sound with their brand new 12 track eponymous CD.
Farmertan
Farmertan is four piece indie band with an almost 20+ year history- an enviable resume, performing with bands such as Luna, Mike Watt, Archers of Loaf, Velocity Girl, Apples in Stereo, and Velvet Crush, among others. They have championed a DIY ethic allowing them to write, record and self-release their music. Their online presence has garnered impressive exposure at home and even more notably overseas. They've been involved with websitewww.jamendo.com, which has licensed their music in independent films, most notably Serbian film Tilva Ros (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1516593/) , an award winning Australian short film named Parrot (http://parrotshortfilm.com/) and pro wrestler Nigel McGuiness’s documentary The Last of McGuinness (http://www.nigelwrestling.com/). They've also had their songs and albums played over half a million times as staples on Jamendo’s commercial services program, with tens of thousands of downloads. Eschewing genre based descriptions, Farmertan wears its varied musical influences on its sleeve at times, culminating into a very indie rock centric take on the rock and roll genre. It has been said that Farmertan does not sound like other bands, other bands sound like Farmertan.
Disco Teen '66
Disco Teen '66 is a band that comes from the musical collaborations between songwriter/guitarist Sean Pulito and bassist Greg Perault. After graduating high school in 2009, they began working together and by 2010 had created Disco Teen '66 along with drummer Lucas Borgsted. Together they recorded and released their self-titled album in 2013 with Darth Fader Recordings. Some called it surf punk, others called it cotton candy fuzz pop. Either way, it got a positive response from the CT underground and d.i.y. community.
By 2014, Lucas had left the band. Sean and Greg continued to work on new material and working with different drummers. In 2016 they began working with current drummer Dan Carr and are currently working on a new album at Blind Moose Studios. Disco Teen '66 has been playing around the New Haven area at venues like Cafe Nine, Stella Blues, and The Space for the past 4 years and now reside in the east shore area. They take influence from The Beatles, Pixies, Led Zeppelin, Ween, Primus, The Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Sly and the Family Stone, and many more.
